My prediction: he’ll end the season with a 1.95 ERA, but will only win 1 or 2 games because he’ll get zero run support, and the bullpen will blow whatever lead he leaves them with.

But yeah - he may give me a reason to resume watching mariners baseball again. At least every 5th game or so.

Its a different baseball than what they use in AA. Thats interesting, wonder why. Hes got adjustments to make. Might temper expectations

SOOTHSAYER! Say it ain't so (the run support)(& the blown saves).

This will be fun. I felt a ray of hope just because they finally brought the rookie, Brock Rodden, up. Kade...holding my breath.

Behind the scenes, he's wanted to exceed expectations (and make the fans forget about this dismal season).
Reality? Well, reality usually bites.

Yeah, lets save the season! Its really a pretty incremental improvement at best. Dipoto is burning a season of elgibility. Is it being desperate?

Yes, it's Dipoto trying to save his job. Do they really lose a year of control automatically or does he have to appear in x number of games?

Agreed. Seems like Woo will probably go on the DL. They could have waited a few days to make/announce this move at least, but they needed to change the subject from Calkins article that they were probably tipped off about.
