Melissa the first Mariner pitcher ever to give up 4 home runs in one inning. Shocking, I would've figured that some bum from the Kingdome days would have done it too. This season has been one big FU after another.

There is no way of they wanted to win they would lose 2 gms in a row to a shit team. 1 run against a shit pen in 2 gms. Thats not trying. Gonna see even more shit play for the ladt 20. This team will be lucky to win 5 more.Southpaw773 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2026 5:10 amBut why is my other question. Do they hate management? Do they want to ensure no playoffs to ensure real change? You know if they went to the playoffs they wouldn’t make as many changes as if they choke.seth8734 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2026 5:07 amThank you. Yesss they are losing on purpose. They really can't be this bad. They are not this bad. U can't forfeit so forfeit while playing.Southpaw773 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2026 5:06 amSomething tells me they are losing on purpose. That has to be more plausible than them just being this bad right?

You would think the players would have enough pride to hold each other accountable for losing these must-win games against such a weak opponent. But no, they just don't give a shit. Fuck them all.

As a longtime champion of the underdog, it gives me great pleasure, watching these young guys, going nowhere, just playing for the fun of the game, as excited as if they were in the World Series.
As they thrash this group of high paid underachievers.
I’d become a fan again if we had those guys on my team.

I have no love for this organization, but Prior to this season, the team had five consecutive winning records, I don’t think that has ever happened before.
Contrast that with the Angels, who have had what 12 straight losing seasons?

With the way the starting pitching has been going (decline of Kirby and Woo, Miller injuries, Anderson not looking that special) i could see the Mariners going into an extended period of losing seasons. Julio, Cal, Naylor, Emerson, Young, and the crop of hitting prospects they have just isn't going to get the job done. And they're not going to add any kind of star bat so the future looks fairly bleak to me.
They had a window and failed to take full advantage.
