I would just trade Kirby for Lopez. Don't need Alcantara.

Again, Lopez’s value is low here.

A 6-WAR SS who just led the league in hits and is the top defensive SS with 3 years of control is only worth that? I don’t buy it.

They also already have good starting pitching in Miami. Kirby straight up for him won’t work.

I like the Miami trade idea. Is the value realistic? I don't think any team sees Michael Arroyo as a middle infielder.

If Otto is made available, I would imagine the Yankees will get involved.
The Yankees get involved and move who? They have George Lombard at SS. Of their top 15 prospects 13 are pitchers with one middle infielder who is in A ball.

Why does Arroyo need to be a middle infield prospect to move in this deal?

The Marlins have his replacement in Aiva Arquette

Sure then give them Felnin as well. We already have plenty of SPs too so not sure we need Alcantara...but he is solid for sure..

Jerry and Justin can say anything they want because they still have a job and Stanton is still making money. I trust them about as far as I can throw Darren

Exactly we also were told that the sustainability and 54% were their goal. How did that work out.

Lol I love how you attach to players.

Arroyo can hit… but are we really going to keep a 5’8 defensive liability around to DH?

How often do little guys like this really pan out if they’re also not plus defenders?

I was massively more high on Felnin this season than Arroyo. Sure give them a rookie 5'8" defensive liability to be their DH instead.

Another concern is buying high on Lopez bat because of a good first half.

2024 .690
2025 .672
2H 2026 .653

His 103 career OPS+ = .708 OPS with half his games at T Mobile = 2026 Julio

He had a bad August and turned it around with a very good September.

If Jerry is under the impression that he’s gone if we don’t win in ‘27… I could see moves not caring much about the prospect return back.

Lopez has to be Jerry’s wet dream given how bad last year was at SS.

Sure very possible. Maybe the Marlins are interested in Jerry's Golden Boy and the $93M he is still owed. If not he would have to move to 3B permanently and we have a kid at a bat first position that put up a .581 OPS last season. This roster is so fucked primarily to the half billion in contracts for the Mt. Rushmore of Naylor, Julio, Colt and Cal that Stanton trumpeted as a clever way to do business and now they are stuck in the mud they claimed would never happen.
