The last few weeks have been especially painful because Marco G. and Kikuchi had been displaying #2 type performances. The last few starts they have not fared as well

I just got a tweet from Shannon Drayer about my Mike Blowers RBI trivia.

What's the trivia?
In 1995 Blowers had games with 8,7,6,5,4,3,2 & 1. The only others to do it were Lou Gehrig and Jimmie Foxx. 1930 and 1938. Of course those two had 175 and 173 RBIs and Blo only had 96. lol
37 RBIs in 8 games....and only had 59 in the other 154? Yikes. All or nothing!

You need to put this game thread on your back and get the Mariners to win, DG. Win, and you leap-frog me in the game thread standings.
That is a BIG win. Be your own Hero.
Lose (most likely) and you're still down in the dismal threader's muck with me.

Good news is there are eight 0-fers below us.

Angels now lead 6 - zip. This team was built on quicksand.
Rocky Colavito is a Hall of Famer in my book!

Ahhh, another one of these games where every time I return to my couch the opposing team has added a couple more runs. Good stuff.

Those first 15 games it was the Mariners tacking on runs whenever I wasn't looking.

I was just asking my girlfriend if I dreamed those first 15 games. She's a Yankee fan and I was so talking s***. Now I'm eating it.

Pena averages 8 strikeouts per 9 innings and has 7 in 2 2/3 tonight.

In 2004 Ichiro had 262 hits and 60 RBIs. Blowers only had 113 hits in 95.
