I can be a bit slow to detect sarcasm but ... I believe the point of her post is that "they" are counting regular flu deaths as Covid-19 deaths. Am I correct? It's amazing how some people are twisting data to "prove" that Covid-19 is not much of a problem. Can we first consider that the 2017-2018 flu season had the most deaths in at least the past decade? Lower than a record is not a "miracle." Second, here is a graph from CDC (source: https://gis.cdc.gov/grasp/fluview/mortality.html) showing deaths from pneumonia and influenza as a percentage of total deaths. The peaks are due to seasonal illnesses, and the peak of the red line in the middle of the graph is the (record) 2017-2018 flu season. The peak on the right is the current (2019-2020) "flu" year and is a good bit higher (even with the lower number of confirmed "flu" cases).

Ha. Royal City. I had never heard of it until I drove through to go salmon fishing on the mighty Columbia with CDA Jay. The Buckingham Palace of Eastern WA!

Populations density is a big part of it but in the Case of NYC there is no doubt in my mind that Government officials calling people racist for not going down and partying in China town cost thousands of lives.
