I'm surpised nobody's actually named THE BEST opening to a show, since the thread is titled "Best Openings to a Show". Hands down is "BREAKING BAD".

Great one, if we're going recognizable, The Sopranos will always stand out to me

The Sopranos intro made me more wistful than anything, showing as it did parts of Hudson and Essex counties (Skyway, Paul Bunyan, East Newark, Kearny, North Arlington etc,) that I knew intimately as a youth and young man.

Never likes the show MASH but I always watched the open when it was on. Bizarre how the patients flew OUTSIDE of the Helicopter. And always love the nurses running.
