They should have required that all players get infected with SARS2 back in May or early June and keep them quarantined for however long it takes to get over it. Then they could play the season out without any worries.
They all had to test negative twice before participating in Summer camp. At least one of them violated protocols and then spread it to other players in the month of July.

the point is MLB came up with 101 pages of protocols to insure players didn't get infected so what do you do when they don't seem to be working? Claim they didn't matter in the first place?
They are working because they aren't being follow. Told you guys it was just a ploy to drive better compliance. Roll on! Go M's!!!

Comissioner Rob Manfred tells me “We are playing. The players need to be better, but I am not a quitter in general and there is no reason to quit now. We have had to be fluid, but it is manageable.”
What i meant was they didn't have a plan if there was an issue, it was all built on it working. Its great to blame it on the players but that doesn't really change anything. If they get better compliance perhaps the thing works better. I couldn't believe they could suddenly come up with 14 cases on a single team like that, that just seemed crazy. I was poking around for reasons why. This was a Miami paper opinion piece, that came up with the deal about the testing. That its not really going to protect a team. That to me was the issue, they had to have allowed one or two players to infect the others in the clubhouse. But if the thing is tightened up hopefully that is corrected

Evidently the Marlins were hanging around in some common areas in the hotel... but who knows.... no baseball player is gonna die from Covid...... maybe an old coach... but it's great for politics...

I'm saying they should have injected all the players that didn't want to opt out with the virus then let them get over it that way they would be immune thereafter (ideally).

More good news: The Marlins had no new positives from tests taken yesterday
The Debbie Downers and Chicken Littles are going to be so disappointed with this news.
