Don’t know the subject of the thread is, just couldn’t believe there wasn’t a bunch of spam to sift through, and wanted to say thanks and take a moment of silence for a having a real sports forum again.
Isn’t it wonderful. It’s absolutely painless. Glad you made it painless. :)

Kirby is at Safeco and said he's only going to pitch 20 to 30 innings for Everett this season. Won't have his first start until July. He only through 88 innings for Elon this year. I can understand being cautious but it's getting ridiculous lately.

Maybe they are saving him a bit to pitch AZ fall league and then a full season next year

Guessing the 30 innings added to his college innings is about all they want on him for the season

It's such a nice change to get these kids signed and straight to work instead of waiting a year.

its really getting pretty hard to fault their minor league development these days, there is the carry over from the Z era that nobody is going to allow them to live down, and it does take awhile to turn the ship from GM to GM but it would seem Dipoto is doing it, and that on top of getting criticized for his Angels system. I guess their hippy liberal holistic system has something to offer after all. I was reading about Fraley, he is another one of these guys you hear about altering their swing. He was also coming off a couple of disappointing seasons where he was battling injuries, really need to take those injuries into consideration. Wish they would have kept Marte around to play with his swing, he is like 8th in the majors i bWAR, something like that
