For the same reason Cal didn't even DH yesterday. Dan Wilson reads the Mariner Forum and he's trying a reverse jinx.Pharmabro wrote: ↑Mon Jun 09, 2025 10:22 pmSibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Jun 09, 2025 9:12 pmOh yeah so they're not on the hook if another team picks him up. Totally forgot about that. Means he'll be in Tacoma the rest of the year.![]()
4M for a good baserunner, good defender but can’t hit a lick? Maybe someone else will take a chance on him. I don’t know why Mastrobater is listed as the starter in RF tonight.

Just curious. How many times has Dilly struck out in is last 15 at bats. Seelike a lot
Re: Monday GT: Need to Chase the Field in Arizona
He’s so hot and cold. Here is the last 3 weeks
51 plate appearances, so that’s probably 22 Ks (43 %)
In his last 13 pa it’s 9 Ks

The problem with judging Dylan Moore like that, imo, is to judge his last 15 at bats you're examining him getting jerked around across 10 games compared to a typical player getting their 15 plate appearances in 3-4 games.
When he was playing every day he had a 1.000+ OPS.
Then they leapfrog him with a bunch of talentless bums and he starts getting jerked around and his numbers suffer.
Re: Monday GT: Need to Chase the Field in Arizona
This is what he did before that though with regular plate appearances. Everyone sucked, so he probably should have still been playing every day, but he got 2-4 plate appearances almost every day for 11 games, so I think it was more than just not getting regular plate appearancesbpj wrote: ↑Mon Jun 09, 2025 11:20 pmThe problem with judging Dylan Moore like that, imo, is to judge his last 15 at bats you're examining him getting jerked around across 10 games compared to a typical player getting their 15 plate appearances in 3-4 games.

Terms of getting regular at bats, they have that new machine that mimics actual real pitchers. They can be taking at bats against who's on the mound as if they were in the game

Moore sucks... to say he's the 4th best or whatever on this team means nothing. He's been given regular playing time the past 2 years or so and he gets hot for a week and then sucks for 2-3 weeks before they shut the experiment down. His swing is awful and his D this year is just as bad. He's just not an everyday player by any stretch. It just shows how bad your team is if you think he's the best option.

He shouldn't be an everyday player, terms of a utility player he's not bad. He can play multiple positions and has some popLamda wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 12:27 amMoore sucks... to say he's the 4th best or whatever on this team means nothing. I’m not sure who the 4th best player (non pitcher is). But whoever it is, wouldn’t be playing regularly on a real contending teamLamda wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 12:27 amMoore sucks... to say he's the 4th best or whatever on this team means nothing. He's been worth 2.8 WAR over his last 600 plate appearances and that's while getting jerky boy'd half the time.Lamda wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 12:27 amMoore sucks... to say he's the 4th best or whatever on this team means nothing. He's a well above average player (especially on this roster) that goes hot and cold. You leave him in the lineup because the hot streaks come back around. Most of these bums don't have hot streaks, they skip that part.
Even at this point he's had a better bat than Julio this season.
