They are desperate and we need to just go full rebuild at this point. No way in hell our rotation will be ready to compete for a title in 2021.

Haniger for the Phillies #1 Prospect for 22 yo 3B Alec Bohm currently hitting .340/.938 this season. Also throw in former Mariner prospect Enyel De Los Santos who is their current #6.

Thoughts?
Love it. Bring up Fraley, plug in Bohm at 3rd, Seager can play some 2nd (If we can't trade him), and hopefully we can move Dee if his health isn't an issue. Stash Maalox and Healy in AAA if we can't move or dump them.

Lots of ifs, but I'm fully behind moving Haniger for a #1 3rd baseman prospect. I fear we might need to sweeten the pot unless the Phillies are completely over Bohm as they were Crawford.
Won't have to sweeten the pot for a 2018 AS RF who has over 3.5 years of control.

Bohm is still a year or so away from mlb ready. Would be perfect timing actually.

Anybody still counting on Marco being part of the answer either?

I am not. From his flashes he looks like he would be a fine #2SP on days where he puts it all together. But I won't weep of he gets flipped for a guy a year away either.

Depends on the question? Can he be a part of the rotation in 2-3 years on a contending team? Sure. Is he a top 2 pitcher on a contending team? No.

DO NOT move Seager to another position while he is still a member of this ball club. That makes zero sense at all!

Imagine all of the humiliation Paxton has had to endure the past 5 years.

He is the biggest reason that I have major doubts a partial rebuild will still work.

Paxton was another deer in the headlights guy while he was with the M's imo. His talent was just too ridiculous to wash out. And he's kind of a wuss.
