The M's look like they will break their team record for most runs given up in a season. They will definitely break the team record for most runs given up in a full season at Safeco.

I wonder how many runs we would have given up if JD had just stuck with the bullpen from opening day as opposed to dredging up 57 piles of trash to put out on the mound so far this season

Bill, I have the answer to that. We're the little Shriner's car with the fez-wearing guy in the parade driving in figure 8's.

Disagree. How else were we supposed to get a top draft pick? Most of these guys aren't what we'll see next season. We likely have enough already in the minors for a solid bullpen.

Logically the bullpen can and should be the last step in a rebuild because they are fickle year to year (see Diaz, Edwin), so put together the best you can when you're contending.
