What would happen if Kikuchi just used the regular motion toward home plate? No fancy kicking. See, we fans, can tinker too.

I hope to God KK ends up better than what he's shown the past month or so. That contract is looking bad already.
Today's game is kind of important for him. It would be nice if he had a decent outing against one of the worst clubs in basball. I'm not that worried about him in the longterm. I think he'll end up being serviceable at worst. His deal guarantees $56M over 4 years. Even if he doesn't pan out, it's not a backbreaker. If the M's are going to move forward without signing free agents to mega deals or offering Felix and Seager type extensions, then taking Kikuchi type risks are going to have to be part of the game plan.

Yeah I just think it was too early. They should have just waited a couple of years would have found a similar pitcher. now they're trying to save all this money while they have that contract. Its nonsensical.

Crawford is going to be really good. I think he could be .280/.360 with 20+ HR and above average defender.

At this point you have to wonder if Kikuchi is on the block also.

For a 2 WAR pitcher (if that's what he ends up being) his contract isn't bad. Some team would likely either get a 1 WAR guy or a 3 WAR guy. I can see someone taking that shot. The Cardinals would probably have him in the Cy Young talks within a month!

Most balks are dumb imo. I'm sure there is a good reason for some, but most seem arbitrary and stupid.
