I know. I just want to see this kid playing and continuing his progression. I hate seeing players handled as if they are toddlers that can't walk yet

Let him take as much time as needed to heal. With him being only 18, no need to rush. Get him fully healthy

Radiologic Technologist with a degree in X-Ray checking in. Without even seeing the histogram analysis of Rodriguez's , I believe that the Mariners are allowing the correct time frame that it takes for a hand fracture to properly heal. Whether it be, green stick, compound, compression, or hairline fracture, 6-8 weeks is the proper amount of time. Throw in the amount of time it takes to get back up to game speed and you have an equation of approximately 2 months out of baseball. I hope this helps everyone.
