My 1st ever game and time at Spring Training, all the field workers were laughing at me thinking I was gonna get Ichiro's autograph. "HE NEVER SIGNS" they said. Not only was he my first autograph ever, but my 2nd as well that same day when we went to find our seats, he was signing over there too.

A couple days later, Ichiro and I almost collided. I about pulled a Steve Bratman in RF down the line. I'd caught 6 foul balls in 6 straight games up to this point. My wife screams, "BEN NOOOO!!!!" Last second reaction, I pull back knowing what this means. A blip of a second I look down and there's my idol who had just caught it inches from my face. And without thinking a beat, he throws a strike in front of my face to nail the runner tagging from 3rd out at home plate.

Besides the mega hard on I had at that moment, I still thank my wife everyday for that.

I would be surprised if more than 20% of the fans that usually travel will be doing so so guessing they will be about the same. But yeah, I wouldn't mind tearing up your course. I assume I will have to pay a damage deposit? :)
Absolutlely. However liquid sustenance will work.
Hopefully you guys will be able to see a game - I've been to a ton of Spring Training games down there. Something about sitting in the grass, having a beer (or 5), and hearing the mitts pop down there --- bliss.

Funny story - we were down there in Spring of '15 - my youngest was about 1 so we had a stroller with us. I packed 4 beers in the diaper bag on the bottom of the stroller..... security found it!!! I had to throw them all away. Ugh. FYI, that trick (beer in a stroller) works EVERY time at Emerald Downs. :)
Hilarious. Hopefully your boy is down to 2-3 beers a day now that he has to focus on school. :)

Great news. Absolute worse case scenario we will be able to watch the games on TV on Friday, Sat and Sunday in this nice TV viewing room.

Looks like you have to scroll through about a dozen pics to see the TV room.

Note that the 16% is the lowest of any facility. Idiot Inslee must have been on the committee.
Not that anyone has noticed, but under Inslee, Washington State's budget has gone up 84%. Wonder what it will do now that they have noticed companies closing and moving out of state. Get ready folks, taxes going up.

Yeah, I know. This belongs in the Politics section.
