Here's what RosterResource lists as the starting 6. Lotta lefties!

Marco Gonzales L 29.0
James Paxton L 32.3
Yusei Kikuchi L 29.7
Justus Sheffield L 24.8
Chris Flexen R 26.6
Justin Dunn R 25.4

I think Dunn is the odd man out. At this point I'll take Margevicius over Justin.

With the additions of Ken Giles and James Paxton, the Mariners need to drop two players from the 40-man roster.

Who would likely go unclaimed if designated for assignment?

Man they're really not calling Logan Gilbert to the show until 2022... :| suppose it will take some injuries...

God damn they're committing to this lengthy rebuild.

Paxton is a pansy, but when he can get his candyass on the field, he has elite talent.

If he could put it all together finally, he's at least good to be traded.

Best case he leads us to a Wild Card.

Injuries aside, he's got the talent.

Why don't they just go all in and make it a 7 man rotation.

Let these big babies have the entire week off since they can't pitch every 5th day like every other team.

Braden Bishop wouldn't get claimed by a high school team

From the article..
Many of Paxton’s underlying metrics, however, were far more bullish. He registered a 4.37 FIP/3.88 SIERA, typically-strong 28.9 percent strikeout rate and roughly-league-average 7.8 percent walk rate. He even put up a career-high in average fastball velocity at 90.7 mph.
Huh? Wasn't his fastball in the upper 90's when he was with the Mariners previously?
