Seager may have hit in 22 of his last 23 games, but he still runs like a walrus....
And when he hits, it still matters exactly zero.
Especially when it goes over the fence.

Three in a row, who would have thunk it?

I don't get most Mariner games, so I was watching the Whiners & Boncos game. Garrapolo looked like doggie waste, which suits me just fine. Denver's D looks pretty good though.

This could be the best couple of catchers we've had in years, if not ever.

Stat of the night:
Aaron Goldsmith and Lookout Landing follow

Andrew
@Andrew_Rice
Up-to-the-second fWAR/600 leaders (min 180 PA)

1. Mike Trout: 9.4 fWAR/600
2. Tom Murphy 8.0 fWAR/600
3. Christian Yelich: 7.9 fWAR/600
4. Cody Bellinger: 7.9 fWAR/600

You know, just the usual suspects.

I just assume that Tom Murphy is an alias for some ball player that got banned from MLB, and only by playing for the Mariners can he be in the big leagues and maintain his anonymity. Whatever the case, we're glad to have him.

Mariners win! We're HEROES!!!

Oso on a rampage right now. Keep starting these great game threads.

I hope we can keep Murphy, but hes probably going to be in demand to be someone's #1 catcher so this is probably it. And yes, this is the best catching tandem we've ever had. The closest is probably Wilson/Lampkin.

By the way, saw Jose Canseco this past weekend at a tournament in San Clemente. Didn't get to play against him though as he was in a different age division.

What? He's been clutch repeatedly during this hot-streak. Go-ahead RBIs, homeruns in close games and a couple games where he accounted for more than half of the runs scored.

Go look at scoring summaries for the last month, he's all over it. In the 3 hr game alone he hit a go-ahead homerun, later a game-tying homerun and then the 3rd just for fun.

Miserable bunch of pricks around here.

Think you misunderstood.

Seagers lack of speed is what doesnt matter because his bat is so good. Not saying that his good bat doesn't matter. It matters so much that it makes his baserunning not matter at all. That's what was being said.

When Seager's dropping bombs, nobody cares if David Gee's ego could beat him in a foot race.
