Mike Salk said the Mariners' 1-3 start has nothing to do with lack of spending and bolstered that with the claim that the Mariners spent over $50 mil more than the Guardians this past off-season. I take it he's counting the Castillo and Julio extension as part of the off-season, which is pretty lame.

2 more bats in place of the DH and LF slop we've been putting out there, plus anybody in place of Marco would have made a big difference already.

After a historically bad start to his career, He has managed to perform lower than his career numbers in Batting Average, On Base Percentage and Slugging Percentage. Should have looked to deal him this spring.
