I don't see anything about this being about a healthy relationship. Bauer got himself into it, he's got what, four other women making similar accusations. But yeah, Bauer is just a poor innocent slob looking for a sweetheart

Nobody said that, you don’t have to like him or think he’sa good guy to believe he wasn’t guilty of the crime he was accused of. He’s probably an arrogant prick that goes through women like he does baseballs when he pitches. Doesn’t mean he committed a crime

It was about getting suspended and released, it wasn't about being guilty of a crime. The code of conduct drawn up by MLB and the players association together isn't based on being convicted of a crime

Would he have been suspended and released if he wasn’t accused of this crime that was so public though? I highly doubt it. He’s always been open about his personal life and came out years ago saying he had women sign a disclosure before dating him iirc.

Yeah, I don't know, he seems a strange character. In a way I can identify with that but I really don't feel any sympathy. So does he come back to the majors? Been reading about his career in Japan. It seems a bit bizarre. Both made the all star team and demoted to the minors. A sword victory demonstration. Blowing up at his teammates, popular with the fans

I don't see Bauer as a victim, I see him as a guy driven to take risks. He's in it for the excitement, thrill, feeling of being alive. But it bit him, he rolled snake eyes. In that I can identify, but I feel no sympathy. He was in control, he made his choices. If she screwed him over it was part of the drama he was playing out to begin with. It's like right out of a James ellroy novel
