At 93/mo Fubo is simply too expensive if you're only interested in Mariners games.
I spent $400 for 13 Seahawks games. $31 a game.

Alacart would be great for baseball. Hate blackouts and had to sign up for 2 yrs of bad direct tv at about $120 month for the channels that interest me

I said 10 to 20$ and just for baseball season. I do the MLB.com and it is annoying as hell. But you can watch the full game if you happened to be at work or whatever, so it does have its advantages. I also like to do a rapid recap type of thing where you get maybe a 15-to-20-minute condensed game.

Comcast notified me that Root was being dropped from my tier level package.

I'd be more than happy to drop the 200 + channels I never watch...

Then you can do what more than half of households have done and cut the cord.

https://cordcuttersnews.com/a-shockingl ... 20service.

It really is a new era for professional sports as entertainment in the US. Under the RSN model, franchises could essentially charge a tax to everyone in their region that paid for a cable package. But now they can't, at least not in the PNW with Comcast. And I imagine Comcast is making similar moves in most major markets. Personally I'm glad to see it. Charging everyone for regional sports that most people don't give two shits about was ridiculously unfair.

The challenge for sports franchises now is how to package and price their product in a way that maximizes viewership and revenue.

I know what you mean. If it wasn't for a handful of channels, I'd gladly get rid of Comcast.

Bad news for the Mariners, since their inflated opinion of their product doesn’t match reality. Oh well, they were unwatchable last year anyway. If I wanted to watch strikeouts I’d watch Little League.
