Robles started his rehab. Will be nice to have another righty at the bottom of the lineup,
Unfortunate reality is Robles was a .901 OPS hitter vs righties last year... .648 vs lefties.
Last year was the aberration in his career, and I think the most important thing is you won’t have 4 of 5 hitters in a row that are lefties which makes it simple to just throw a lefty from the bullpen at the last half of the lineup.

Randy
Cal
Julio
Naylor
Suarez
Polanco (who sucks as a righty, so they will want to move him to the left side
Canzone
JP
Young

That was an easy stretch to just throw a lefty in and take away half our lineup.
I guess.

I just don't know if he's going to make that big of an impact if he's regressed back to what he was.

Hope I'm wrong.

At least against lefties he’ll be an improvement. Not sure I put him in the lineup rn against righties though

Probably realistically means Victor can play RF every day. Canzone has been good though. Victor is better defense? Better arm?

At the very least he’s a better option off the bench than what we have now

Canzone would be the first bat off the bench.

If memory serves, he’s been in a slump for well over 30 games.
He had a near .900 OPS in July.
This is why I wasn't as excited as everyone about getting him back. He's maximum boom or Bust, not exactly what the Mariners really needed.

Hopefully the boom part comes late September through October.
They need to keep Naylor, but curiously, he’s been through three or four teams by now.

It's kind of nice to hear Rick on the TV broadcast again. It's been years.
Never understood why the Sr. announcer would be on the radio. Who in the hell listens when they can watch.
because thats' where you need an announcer?
