I think so, it's nice to know a little background on people and it helps us get along a little better. Just don't claim you played for The Big Red Machine.

My name is Terry... I like baseball, good baseball. It's been discouraging for the past fifteen years.

Well Terry, if you cheered for the other team you'd be the happiest man in the world. :D

Didn't know where to go with this. I just spotted:
WHO IS ONLINE
In total there are 7 users online :: 5 registered, 0 hidden and 2 guests (based on users active over the past 5 minutes)
Most users ever online was 21 on Sat May 04, 2019 2:18 pm

Registered users: Baidu [Spider], harmony, rockycola, Ziskmagic, ꓘLooking
Legend: Administrators, Global moderators
What the hell is Baidu [Spider]?

It sounds like a problem for the forum but I'm in the dark. Geeks? Anybody?

Baidu Spider is an automated program contains a piece of software code used by Baidu search engine. Like every crawler Baidu spider visits the web pages on the internet and index them in the database based on keywords. When a user searches the particular keyword the most relevant pages are displayed top in the search result page.

Why would Baidu search engine need to register an account here? All the content can be accessed without joining. Seems odd.

By the way, I just tried a web search on Baidu using the words "Seattle sports forum" and this site did not come up (at least not on the 1st page of results and I'm too tired to look further). However, it did come up with a different forum. Maybe Logainismyhero should check it out....
https://sportshoop.la/forums/seattle-mariners.254/

Interestingly, it also had a search result for the SeattlePI sports forums which no longer exist. If you open the link ( https://www.seattlepi.com/forums/), it is a page containing a message explaining that the forums are now closed, but that one of the members has set up a new forum for Seahawks fans and then gives the link to that.

Even as I was writing this, a spammer joined the forum and has created a new thread. Everyone give a warm welcome to "cauct".

Cockt? Kawkt?

The thing is, when I saw it I tried to click on it. If you were shown on "WHO'S ONLINE", or on a post, etc., I can click and go to your profile.
Baidu [Spider] has not registered as far as I can tell and I could not click and go anywhere. It was a little more shadowed/ghostly.
Something like that is way above my forum pay grade. Supposedly from my quick Google search, it's a Chinese web crawling spider search engine bot. Creepy but it appears relatively harmless...........but I don't really know not being a :geek: or an :ugeek: .

That forum you gave a link for I saw yesterday. POP! POP! POP-UP ADS abound. No thanks.
