Tacoma pounded out 19 hits in a 12-3 victory over the Fresno Grizzlies tonight.
Ian Miller went 4-5, HR, 2 SB's and 5 RBI's from the 9-hole.
Austin Nola had 3 hits (triple) and Braden Bishop also had 3 singles..
Chris Mariscal came up from Arkansas and went 2-3, walked and scored 3 runs.
Seager had 2 bases loaded singles, 3 RBI's and walked once
Kristopher Negrón went 2-4.
4 Rainier relievers combine for 6 shutout innings.
Swanson started, pitched 3 innings, 2 hits (one HR), 3 runs, 2 BB's and 2 K's.
Grizzlies hurt themselves with 3 errors.

I like Lopes. I think he is the best option at SS at least for next couple of seasons over the other guys we have in our system.
How in the hell does Crawford only have one walk in 43 PAs with us???? He had 29 with the Phillies in just over 200 PAs.

I see Tui and Bautista are now rehabbing in Tacoma. This team is going to be a lot different very soon.

I don't have much confidence in Bautista. Hope he proves me wrong. Still need another starter though.

Interesting, how Ian Miller’s never had a shot up here, could he be worse than Mallex?

Interesting, how Ian Miller’s never had a shot up here, could he be worse than Mallex?
He has had equivalent of approx. 2 AAA seasons. He's just not as much of an investment as Smith at this point.
I think M's could have gotten a better deal for Zunino. I understood that it was time for Mike to move on but what other deals were out there, I wonder?
Ian deserves a chance.

You realize that Miller is 9 months older than the 26 year old Smith, right?

Day game for Tacoma in Fresno today. Rainiers won 2-1 as Justus Sheffield scattered 7 hits (a Kieboom HR) over 7 innings. 1 walk and 2 K's.
Tayler Scott shut out the Grizzlies for the last 2 innings, 2 K's & 2 walks.
Ryan Court accounted for the 2 Rainier runs with a 2 run homer.
Seager, 0-3 with a walk and an error.
Nice game, Justus.
