Where do we stand on Kelenic?
Re: Where do we stand on Kelenic?
The Robbie Ray thread reminded me about something with Kelenic.
I was at a game the other day and noticed that JK is wearing extremely tight pants this season. It could be the main key to his success, but weird to look at.

Must like the Tyler O'neill look.
(Realized that doesn't make sense looking at O'neill recently in the knee high pants, but this is the guy I remember-)

Last year after 24 games he was at .230 with zero home runs and a .605 OPS. Even with his less then stellar start Julio is at a .9 War on pace for 6.1. I am not worried about him at all.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 11:26 amWhere do we stand on Julio? Trade him while he still has value?

Oh it seems the graph did not copy over. But I saw that graphic on one of the yourube videos or maybe MLB.coms articles.
So JK so far
ST (51 ABs) .353 .389 .706 1.095
regular season (87ABs).322 .375 .644 1.019
140 ABS is approx. 1/4 of a full time season.
Oh and he has added 5 stolen bases and yes he is on pace for a 30SB-30+ HR year.

He has had quite the power outage lately. Very odd.Captain 97 wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 3:29 pmHow about this split for Kelenic

Someone sent me this on Twitter. Same problems he had last year now that pitchers are adjusted after the offseason and he's seeing a steady diet of offspeed pitches.D-train wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 4:02 pmHe has had quite the power outage lately. Kinda an interesting look at JK, him and Harper. He was shy to introduce himself.
