You'd think they'd not hit Julio 2nd ever again.

We know that they don't even looks at basic handedness splits so I doubt they look at those....

Yep Jp Moore Julio good top 3. Gotta build off this offense 9 runs more then a week worth in 1 game. Meeting sure to helped the offense a bit. Bullpen is In shambles. Seriously give up a pitcher for Miller. We wanna win now. Munoz Miller late and maybe a Lil more for Rooker. Hancock Ford Clase I think that should be enough hopefully!

I'd say that my favorite part of the game was Winker standing there admiring his bomb that died on the warning track.

Which is crazy because they'll turn around and cry foul around the psychology of pressing and it being cold...

I was very superstitious about where I hit in a lineup in my career.

I loved hitting 1st or 3rd in the lineup:

1: The expectation is that I get on base. Pitchers know I'm fast so that gets in their mind to not put me on base.
3: The pitcher knows the 3 hitter is always the best hitter in the lineup.

He did that a couple of times when he was with us. To bad we dropped four in a row for the first time this season. But hopefully Julio is breaking out finally.

Yipee and sabermetrics have led to our best hitter performing his worst while in the 2 hole.

Oh yeah and Aaron Judge hits 3rd for the Yankees. Jose Ramirez hits 3rd for the Guardians. Bryce Harper hits 3rd for the Phillies...

So guess what... Sabermetrics and analytics can fuck right off.

Kind of hard to both hit second when they were on the same team for 6 years.

Both of them have spent ample time hitting 3rd as well.

My point is, maybe Julio is far more comfortable hitting 3rd in the lineup. He clearly isn't comfortable hitting 2nd... so why put him in a place where he clearly doesn't thrive psychologically because analytics tell you your best hitter should be there.

And Harmony's link says your best "bat control and OBP" hitter should be hitting 2nd. Julio is not the M's best bat control or OBP player. Never has been.
