Does Dan Wilson get any credit for pinch-running Miles Mastrobuoni for Mitch Garver in the 11th inning? Would Garver have scored from third base on Cole Young's grounder to first base?

Had the Mariners not scored in the 11th, the M's would have been without a DH going forward because Cal Raleigh would have needed to take over the catching duties.
Would that have been a negative or positive since its Garver being removed?

If the guy can't hit anyways, who cares?

Mitch Garver as backup catcher is not the key to the mariners success, backup catchers just aren't that important. If you want to complain about them dhing him that's another story. Terms of replacing him with Ford, there's this emotional quality to how it's viewed here, anything to get Garver out of the lineup, how about using someone else as dh? In terms of replacing him with Ford, what if Ford struggles, you're stuck with him because Garver has been released. I just can't see that happening, creating a situation where you are locked into a prospect call up being successful

Garver is bad and would have been thrown out so he’s disposable

Garver is a sad-sack of a human who radiates loser vibes. He needs to go away.

Bring up Ford. Let Cal DH half the time. Are we supposed to just keep prospects in the minors forever? Trade him or promote him, wtf...

Cal is putting together what could be the greatest single season for a catcher in MLB history and we would mess with that dhing him half the time, okay. Personally I wouldn't mess with the catching.

If you need a high bouncer off the plate in extra innings with a runner on 3rd, Cole young is your man

Millikin and Castillo team up on Sunday at 1:10 P.M. to faceoff against Chris Crack Paddywack, who's 2-5 on the season.
I'm using that. No royalties will be paid.

So at worst you've got someone else who struggles but is young and athletic, and still has a future with the organization.

Sure, my concern is you wouldn't be able to return him to Tacoma if he did struggle, seems like you are locked in to the promotion.

And why would you return him to Tacoma? He's not going to be any worse than Garver, and the experience will be valuable.

Once again, you're the towel boy telling Michael Jordan what play he should run.
