They showed the replay about 50 times and it looked like it hit the inside ankle, not the shin. But... We'll all know soon enough.

I'll look for a replay.
I’m watching from my phone, and it looks to me like it hit a few inches above where the ankle bone sticks out, so more along the shaft of the tibia and bounces straight down.
I couldn't find the close up replay they showed over and over on Root, but you're probably right and hopefully it's not something that effed up his ankle.
Though, knowing the way MLB injuries go, he'll be out 2 weeks, regardless.
Best case scenario out minimum 10 days we hope. Worst it's broken

Cal starting to feel the homerun race and chasing high pitches lately.
It's fine though. Following Cal stats might be all we get this year.

It’s on the mlb app. Feel the bone right above the ankle on the inside. There is no padding at all.

I would bet the X-rays are negative, and they will probably do a CT or mri to see if there is a deep bruise or hairline fracture of the tibia. I could only guess hired long he’ll be out if they don’t find a fracture, anywhere from 3 days to 3-4 weeks depending on how much weighting hurts, and that’s a lot of pressure on that leg stepping off during his swing

He’s always been a bit susceptible to the high fastball

Let's do it, Solano!

I'm voting him into All-Star game. I'll hack the mlb site, whatever it takes.

Occasionally he catches up to one and a few are still airborne.
