I’m amazed at how, over the years, the Cubs’ popularity has become so widespread and positive. Back in the 70s, the only fans the Cubs had were hopeless no lifers, Old Style addicts, musicians, and the terminally depressed.

The Mariners will have new life breathed into the fanbase when they finally win. Anything.
