Jerry has cycled through Pablo Lopez, Freddy Peralta and Nestor Cortes like they were sewer rats.

The three have combined for 4.0 fWAR so far this season.

Dipoto traded Peralta for Adam Lind, who he only needed because he didn't like Trumbo and his 50 homeruns so he gave him away for a backup catcher.

He's sucked in the 3 hole. Get him out of there. He's needs to be leading off or at the bottom of the lineup. Julio should be batting 3rd with Winker at 4 and Souza at 5.

The problem I'm seeing with JP lately is after hitting a few HR's, all of a sudden he's decided he's a power hitter and is swinging for the fences instead of just trying to hit line drives or make solid contact.

Yep, that is the cycle I mentioned before: Guy gets hot, thinks he can hit any pitch 500 ft, starts swinging at everything AND for the fences and then goes into a slump until he gets back to the approach that got him to be confident and hitting well in the first place. Rinse and repeat. Putting in the 3 hole probably exacerbated that.
