Yeah don’t look at Samad’s limited ABs in 2023 after he debuted in June. He has potential based on his Minors stats and is still just 25.
Looking forward to seeing all Speed Merchants in person in 6 weeks during ST.

Samad: 51 SBs
Bliss: 55 SBs
Clase: 79 SBs

Like back to the 80s!

Have never understood why teams don't keep a resident speedster and defender for late-game situations. Samad has defensive versatility... plays OF, 3B, 2B and can really run.

Beats the shit out of Luis Torrens collecting moss.

They expanded the rosters to 26 so you would think they could do it but they are obsessed with having 1000 relievers...

No team has 9 Above average position players in the lineup. Even the mighty Braves have settled for shit show POS JK as one of their COFers...
We are settling at 3B, LF, and I’m still unsure about Raley/Haniger in RF. We’ll see if France can be better at 1B. He wasn’t above average last year. They also have a legit middle of the order that the mariners do not.
3B isn't great but projects to 2.3 WAR about average.
LF is Raley and Moore. Totally fine with that. I like Raley for 2-3 and maybe 4 WAR and Moore should be good for 1 WAR if healthy all season.
RF Agree that is the big hole and it should be filled with Bellinger but news flash we have cheap ass owners so have to pray for at least average there.
1B if driveline can boost JPs OPS by 143 points they sure as hell can get France simply back to his 2021-22 self especially combined with his decision to no longer be a fat fuck.
Some guys are just built like that. My favorite all time baseball player was a fat fuck, but he could motor down to first with the rest of them. Played CF and even robbed a home run in the '91 World Series. Was one of best bad ball hitters in my lifetime, I'm talking about Kirby Puckett, and he could hit! Ty France can hit too. I'm anxious to see him this Spring!

Yeah, I like the upside of Taylor. He can play multiple positions and was 8 for 8 in the show in stolen bases. Stole 43 bags in the minors. Has a history of good hitting in the minors. Loves God. Sounds like a good clubhouse guy!

Kirby was listed at 178 lbs about 40 lbs less than me. lol

France could hit before last season but he was obviously out of shape and couldn't hit. Looks great now. Hopefully it works!

Polanco, good pickup! The guy they got from the Red Sox sucks and we needed a solid third baseman. A .750 OPS and 4 WAR would be sweet.

Oh, and Samad Taylor might not even make the team, he sucks.

I like the Samad Taylor pickup. If you look at his last two seasons in AAA, he seemed to take a real step forward in 2023. He could be the new Dylan Moore but with a better hit tool.
