Dimensions aren't an issue, T-mobile doesn't dampen home runs

This is what I would do.

Create your own version of the short porch (NYY style) giving righties a reason to try to hit the ball to right field and a paradise for lefties. In doing so, you also create a weird right/center field corner that adds to the capability for odd triples or doubles.

Bringing in the right center corner is the biggest fix here. The frustration I've seen from players hitting doubles off that wall is pretty evident.

Reducing left field dimensions is quite simply for righties looking to add a bit more power vs having balls tracked down. I saw multiple hits in the DBack series that were flagged down right on the left center warning track that could have hit the fence or gone for homers.

Has nothing to do with homers.

The current dimensions rob hits like it's nobodies business. The fences are quite literally at a perfect dimension for robbing liners near the warning track because of where players sit in the outfield.

Shortening the dimensions to increase doubles would impact home runs. Should be able to get an accurate picture of the impact using statcast info

That was what Drayer said is the problem. She said reducing fence length added to homers but took away doubles and triples due to the depth OF's play at.

Sorry, that's confusing to me. She thinks the fences should be brought in?

She doesn't really ever give a definitive opinion with anything.

But I don't think she'd disagree with them changing some dimensions to make things less offensively challenged.

. “It’s hard to hit it because of the dead ball here, but right and left aren’t that deep. So guess what? Those outfielders don’t play very deep, so now balls are hanging up and you’ve got outfielders that aren’t playing that deep because they’re not afraid of anything getting over their head. So you end up taking away more hits, and now you start to exacerbate the problem and it gets in guys’ heads
Are you saying shorten the fences so more balls go off the walls as doubles?
