Since he was moved up in the batting order on 4/26 Kelenic has a 78 wRC+ with an OPS of .634 and -0.1 WAR.

Jury's still out on him imo. No chance I'd offer him an extension or guaranteed contract at this point.

I'm not adept at splits but I see May is at 284/.329/ .500/.829 so he seems to have turned things around?
Not sure if Fangraphs has updated to include the game today, but it's showing him with a .674 OPS since he was moved in the order.

He's far from being our biggest problem this season, that's for sure.

Even in the recent downturn he's found ways to not be a complete black hole.

Players are going to go through swoons. I just hope his aren't as prolific as in the past. The fact he's still hovering around .300 this deep into the seasoning is promising. I hope he can keep it up

So JK so far
ST (51 ABs) .353 .389 .706 1.095
regular season (165 ABS)So JK so far.297 .350 .564 .914

That is a .960 OPS this year in 216 ABs I'd like to see him get up over .300 and stretch the walks to 10%.
It has been a long time since we had an Edgar like 300/400/500 bat in the lineup.
LOL @ including ST stats.

All of his splits are solid AF. Crow is in the oven and I am preparing a glaze so it doesn't taste horrible.

It's pretty wild, the various aspects
In 43 at-bats against southpaws this season, Kelenic is batting .349 with four homers, 12 RBIs and a 1.099 OPS, making the planned platoon with AJ Pollock moot.

"He's probably been our best hitter against lefties," Servais said. "Who woulda thunk that coming into the season?"

Obviously they were right to not trade him but wrong about wasting $7M on a washed up hitter because he had fluky good splits vs. LHPs last season.

Yeah flukey, that's why I don't believe that drove the signing in the first place. I think they thought they were getting a decent bat off the bench from either side. That was wrong
