Has it ever happened? A guy gets traded in the off-season and then gets traded again? Such as Jerry phones up the Mets and says he'd like Mr. Soto. "Hey Mr. Xxxxxx, I've been sitting on my hands all winter but now I'd like to make a move and we'd like Juan Soto. Our owner just found a boatload of cash in his mattress and we'll give you two of our young starters" kind of scenario. Soto switches teams without posting a stat for the Mets. I've always wondered if when a trade is done then it's over for now, or can you come in behind the trade and make another trade for the same guy? (Disclaimer: Personally I'm not suggesting this trade)
Carlos Santana was traded to Seattle on December 3, 2018, before the Mariners traded Santana to Cleveland 10 days later on December 13, 2018. Three-and-a-half years later the Royals traded Santana to the Mariners.

The Mariners acquired Mallex Smith from Atlanta via trade on January 11, 2017, before Smith was traded hours later to Tampa Bay. Twenty-two months later the Rays traded Smith back to the Mariners.
Has happened many times. Most recently with Marco and White.

This is INCREDIBLE. France has 105 HBPs in 2819 PAs. Kruk has TWO in 4603.

The guy makes a good point about every bat in the lineup being a major IF. I have hope for Robles because while it was a full season it was a pretty good same size of 77 games AND he still in his prime. I have almost no hope for the Mitches or Polanco or JP.

Yup that is clearly the line the FO is pitching - bounce back years. To your point - I have hope that Julio will be a bit better, same with Jorge, and I think Cal will have roughly the same year - but after that - no real faith in any of them.

And so we sit with the best rotation in the majors and only a few actual bats in the lineup.

And the kicker is that they keep saying it every year and it never happens. I'd like to say it's because they don't learn, but it's really just sunken cost and they're hoping for a miracle out of the money that's already been wasted.

And John Kruk certainly wasn't going to get hit by a Randy Johnson pitch in the All-Star game! That was fun.

Kruk was a noteworthy player. I find it odd that France already has over half as many AB’s.
