Depending on the labrum tear, he might be able to play then get surgery in the offseason. Hopefully he misses less time because it’s not his throwing shoulderWalla Walla Dawg II wrote: ↑Mon Apr 07, 2025 1:52 pmCould be the a tore labrum as well.
both the rotator cuff and labrum would be a surgery and months of therapy.
Personally, the way his shoulder bent back when he pancaked against the wall, I feel he won't be back this season.

Confirmed that it was a dislocation. Seems likely an anterior location based on the mechanism. Thankfully X-ray negative. Some labral issues also show some bony abnormalities (bankart lesion). If guts he misses about a month and probably wears a shoulder brace to play this season.

Between your medical experience and my 'shoulder' issues and surgeries.... we'll figure this out.Juliooooo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 08, 2025 3:45 pmConfirmed that it was a dislocation. Well, I guess there was a fracture. I’m guessing it probably was a bankart lesion though, and doesn’t change much. Hopefully someone steps up and they aren’t too far back when he returnsWalla Walla Dawg II wrote: ↑Tue Apr 08, 2025 4:14 pmBetween your medical experience and my 'shoulder' issues and surgeries.... we'll figure this out.Juliooooo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 08, 2025 3:45 pmConfirmed that it was a dislocation. Re: Woo For the Win Sunday Gamethread 4-6
Julio Rodriguez isn't on top of any American League leaderboard, but within the context of league-wide pitching dominance, he's actually doing more at the plate early this season than he has in the past. His wRC+ is 113 and his patience at the plate has been striking: He already has drawn 11 bases on balls, with a walk rate that doubles that of last season. "He's been as aggressive as he's always been, especially early in the count," said Jerry Dipoto, the Mariners' head of baseball operations. "But the biggest difference to me is that he gets himself dialed back in." -- Olney
