At first look, here's the lineup I'd try putting together:

DH- Schwarber
C- Cal
CF- Julio
2B- Polanco
1B- Y. Diaz/Raley
RF- Canzone
3B- Y. Moncada
LF- Robles/Schwarber/Raley
SS- Crawford

Bench: Rivas, Raley, Ford

Woo
Kirby
Gilbert
Miller
Hancock/Evans

Probably have to trade Castillo and Arozarena to afford this lineup.

I was surprised how similar Schwarber and Cal's numbers were. I'd take another Cal. He's not a prototypical leadoff hitter, but that's a great thing in my opinion because he also brings 50 HR's to the table:

So, the difference is WAR is C versus DH?

Again would really love to see us target a guy like Maikel Garcia. But if not I guess Ben is better than nothing.
I am not sure that he is available. Royals said he was untouchable at the trade deadline. Also, he had a great season but prior to this year he was below average. He came into the season with a career OPS+ of 80 in 1164 Plate appearance. Not sure I would want to spend a lot of trade capital on a guy with such a short track record of success. He also has really sucked at T-Mobile. 6-35 with a .437 OPS.

“Colt Emerson will play a part in our season in 2026,” said Dipoto. “I’m certain of that. His rise has been quick.”
Hopefully he fares better than Young or Williamson.....I a sure he will but probably not by a lot.

I think there is zero chance that Dipoto even talks to Schwarber. That type of signing goes completely against everything that he believes in. Any fan rosterbation that includes Schwarber, Tucker or Bregman in it is nothing but wishful thinking.

Remember when Jerry passed on Schwarber because he thought it was really neat to rotate shitty hitters through DH? lol Dumb ass nerd.

Yes. Cal was a slightly better hitter but that is the majority of it.

Just brutal.

Getting told we dont need a player because they can only hit by the bloggers.

Amazing levels of stupidity across Mariner media.
