Semien can play 3B, which means we can wave good bye to the guy who waves at pitches low and outside the strike zone.

And unfortunately I don't see our idiot manager getting rid of the six-man-rotation unless someone holds a gun to his head.
I read recently (don't remember where), that they are going back to a normal 5-man rotation. I'm not certain if it's just a temporary thing because of all the injuries, or if it's permanent. But there was no inference in the article I read of it being temporary, or because of injuries or lack of bodies.

They aren't going to pick up Seager's option. He has about 80 days left in his Mariner career. Guessing it was JD that came up with the 6 man nonsense.
Jason Churchill wants the M's to pick up Seager's option because it's a "feel good" reward for Seager being so devoted to the M's... that and he doesn't want them spending money on anything cool... ever.

He's always auditioning for Shannon Drayer's role.
God, if that's true, then Churchill just lost whatever credibility he had left. That would be unfathomable even for the Mariners!

I would be ecstatic if we could somehow get Kris Bryant for 3B!

They can do better than Kyle Seager for 15 million dollars, and have a little more upside long term. Trade for a Nolan. Nolan Jones or Gorman. Both are close to MLB ready, and have 3B blocking them at MLB level and use the 15 million on a 2B or Starting pitcher.

I believe it was Mysportsnorthwest, Shannon article following a Dipoto interviw, I read it too!

Iirc, Dipoto said that if he went back to the 5 man rotation, it would be permanent. If Marco can get back to his old self, then I like the rotation.

KK
Gilbert
Flexen
Marco
Dunn

I still want to see Dunn in the bullpen next year though, I think that M's have 3-4 prospects that will be better starters than him by the end of 2022.

Yeah, I must have missed it. Just saying to date that Flex has been the only one to pitch on four days rest. My ultimate fantasy, (sports fantasy) ;) for the rest of the season would be them go back to a five man and not have a single starter have a even a minor injury.

Yep with Williamson already in AA with almost 2.5 more months of development this season, I could see him in the OD rotation next season.
