I can't believe so many hated that trade. I guess their would a lot of James Pazos fans out there.

I know I didn't dig it. Crawford wasn't a top prospect in the Phillie organization and he hadn't made much of an impression in two seasons. Segura only had a couple years left in him but I thought we needed to do better. Crawford is starting to look like a good player but you'd like him to at least be almost as productive as Segura. It seems reachable.

Had to think about this. He reminds me of a young Torii Hunter.

As a MN native and a lifelong Twins fan, I think this is a decent comparison. I guess my point is, there’s obvious holes in his game that prevent him from being compared to a Griffey type. He does look damn good though and I’m happy he’s a Mariner.

There will never be another Griffey.

I agree completely. I think Mariner-era Griffey 1.0 might have been the best to ever do it.

I think I hated it because I thought Santana was a salary dump. When I realized he was an asset that got a 2nd round comp back, I didn't hate it.

I didn't hate trading away Segura though, I just wanted them to get good value for him. I thought he was incredibly overrated. Below average defender. Couldn't take a walk. He was pretty good at making contact on pitches a foot off the plate though...

Crawford wasn't a prospect at the time, but at one time he was the #1 overall prospect in baseball. He's a classic example of why you don't give up on a player after they struggle early in MLB.

Choo should be Dunn's last hitter...... 4th time thru the lineup.... 88 pitches... third time out.... Go for 95-100 pitches on his next start. Nice job of pitching... gave up one earned run in six innings... definitely a quality start.

34.975 if you assume 60.5 feet. Give or take given the catcher is set back and the pitcher is out infront of the mound.
