Seattle vs Milwookie GT 7/23
Re: Seattle vs Milwookie GT 7/23
I can't believe our catchers can't figure out how to position themselves for plays at the plate. He was about two feet too close to 1st base. Would have been able to tag him easily.

This loss goes in JP , what a shitty game. Maybe his dead ass needs a rest
Re: Seattle vs Milwookie GT 7/23
This isn't surprising. It's an aggressive lefty-heavy lineup and Castillo is basically dogshit vs. lefties. He keeps pounding fastballs in the zone and not really using his secondaries. We've seen the changeup come out but not that much.
I'm starting to really question the Mariners approach to pitching. I think the coaching staff and probably the analytics people are in love with the 4-seam/sinker combo and for some reason can't see the evidence screaming at them that it's a problem vs. lefties.

For Castillo to win...he has to have "perfect location".
And "perfect defense" behind him.
It doesn't help that we have a "dogshit" offense either.
Thornton and Vargas are absolutely hot garbage imho.
I cannot for the life of me understand the hard on Jerry has with these clowns.
Do we have no one in the minors that can throw 96-99mph and at least one off speed pitch???
It just baffles me they put Thornton back in the pen after his "injury".
He sucked cock before the injury.
JP had a pretty decent first half. But he has these droughts where he forgets everything he did well before.
i.e. He could honestly make a career of hitting singles the other way. Yet he has consistently hit into double plays this week pulling the ball.
I don't get it. If they bring up someone next year from the minors I'm ready to move on from JP.

Ughhhh stop wasting bullpen arms. Cut Thornton after this game. Bring up Kowar Taylor and Lock. Cut Moore Thornton Solano. We need change and need it now!!!

This team’s pitching is no longer the strong suit. Fire Jerry.

I guess what frustrates me the most is Dan is over there in the dugout watching the same game with a thumb up his butt.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Wed Jul 23, 2025 9:25 pmDon't forget Leggo-my-enema as well. It was only 6-2 in the 5th. Why leave Thornton in the game when he gives up another run? Pull his ass and set the tone.
You are in the game to hold the score. The game is NOT over. By leaving him in the game it a defeatist culture created.
The entire team now throws in the towell. Sorry but Dan is a horrible Skipper imho. I'd rather watch Julio pitch at this point.
