I don't think the Astros are really looking on with envy in other words (at our 1B/DH/LF/RF). What looks like a shiny new toy to us is sprinkled everywhere through a winner's lineup.

Oh, teams definitely tank in the NBA. The other sports agent as bad, but the NBA definitely has had teams tank. The players might suck, but all it takes is 1 "injury" to keep out your best player.

That's the league one could conceivably see it happening, and on the hand you get it because playoff upsets rarely happen in the NBA (our 1994 Sonics notwithstanding). On the other hand, unless you score huge in the lottery its not going to help at all and the players you have are going to develop bad habits and basketball is really not the sport you want your players playing for stats in.

NBA is about superstars. If you get one, you are set. Better chance of getting one early in the draft. Draft is a crap shoot, but it works out for some teams.
