Randy is also statistically the best position player on this team right now.

And it's not all that close.

Classic 1 hit 2 walks through 3. Honestly as bad has Emerson has been would rather him then Rivas. Dont wanna ruin him though. He is not ready yet so I get it.

Alex Rodriguez hit .202/.241/.204 across 17 games as a rookie in 1994.

If Emerson is such a mental midget that struggling in his first attempt "ruins" him... then he's not ever gonna be worth shit.

Bingo!

BA sucks as a stat but Emerson is hitting almost 100 points higher than Rivas. Do there’s that as well.

That is true. Why not give the guy a shot. Trusting him with a callup might really get him to catch fire.

Btw Rodriguez cheated who knows might have been doing steroids to make him good. Cant trust any of his stats. What kinda player would he have been without juicing.

He used roids from 2001-2003. In 1996 he put up a 1.045 OPS.

I dont get why he needed Roids when he was a good hitter.

Yay 2 hits in 1 inning but nothing heating up!!!

That quite possibly might be the most rational post you've ever made here in all these years seth. Nice job!

It's about chasing more. He had just signed the biggest contract in baseball history with the Rangers.

Bonds, McGuire, Sosa, many more... were clearly roiding and he was finishing top-5 in MVP voting in years where he was dropping 10+ WAR.

I don't defend it, but I get it.
