The Nats cursed themselves by stupidly shutting down Strasburg in 2012. He could have come out of the bullpen against the Cardinals in the NLCS and made the difference as they had two epic meltdowns. Last night they might have broken the curse by having Strasburg pitch three innings of relief.

Early in the bottom of the eighth after Hader blew away Robles, I don't think I have ever seen a more demoralized crowd in my life!

Mostly I am just rooting against the A's. I love the fact that despite all of his supposed genius, Billy Beane has won just one playoff series in 22 years with the A's. That is one less than the M's have won in that time frame. That's right the M's who haven't been to the playoffs in 18 years have still been a more succesful playoff team than Billy Beane's A's.
