Sounds to me like the next four hitters I'm going to watch strike out 200 plus times a year and giggle all the way to the bank. I wish I had your excitement about prospects. But I recall all this excitement about Kyle Lewis, who ended up much like Jose Cruz Jr. and is a lot like what Julio Rodriguez looks like and now? Cal is washed. Oh, don't get me started on guys like Kelenic, White, Emerson....the guy they traded away for Donovan. Sorry, I don't believe for one second this organization is going to do anything but ruin hitters.

Some is probably the approach this organization takes, but some of it is this stadium. It ruins them, and they end up changing their swings. These HRs you show videos of? At minor league ballparks? I bet half of them are Warning Track fly outs here, if they even reach the track! Add in that they will now be facing Major League pitching and not minor league guys?

I hope you are right, but I no longer believe that anyone is going to come through our system, get to the big club and live up to the hype that has been created. If you go back five years from now and read what was wrote about Julio? There is zero reason the guy with that much hype would have followed up two silver slugger seasons in 2022 and 2023 with the hot fucking trash we now have. Cal wouldn't turn into the second coming of Dave fucking Valle either. This organization is doomed. Name a prospect that has come up and lived up to the hype? As much as it sucks....the only two that were close were Julio and Cal, and their windows appear to be shut.

Only position player prospect I was excited about that reached the big leagues in the Jerry era is Julio.

In other news, ESPN is my least favorite of the national broadcasts because no matter what streaming source I use (espn TV app, YouTube TV, mlb app) the picture quality and color is all whack on my TV. I'll spend the first few innings fcking with settings until I get something I can live with.
