I bet I could stump Goldsmith with “who holds the all-time record for most wind-swept doubles on Saturday afternoons?”

Got a nice little doubles party going and we're back in it!

As much as I love the M's, I have to turn this Radio broadcast off. Every word that Dave Simms says just grates on my ears. Literally every other sentence has a pause in the middle of it while he searches for the word he wants. When ever the ball is put into play he just blurts out things in excitement and forgets to actually describe what happened. Everything he says is stilted and jarring and there is absolutely no flow at all to his play by play. He is without a doubt the worst radio play by play guy I have ever heard at the big league level.

Might want to catch these guys now before that Hader fellow comes in.

I couldn’t agree more, and without this turning into a ‘bash Dave Simms’ thread (but why not), he absolutely irks me to hear him project his ‘experience’ in the game,
which extends only to college and amateur ball. He reads stats, repeats himself as nauseum, and is just a farking dud.

Good thing that throw was high because Moore overslid the bag like Santana did yesterday. Why do guys do that?

...because not enough players have jammed a shoulder or broken a collarbone, I think.

This series it would have been a great idea to do the Brewers' 50th anniversary Turn Back The Clock Day. Have the Mariners wear 1969 Pilots road uniforms while the Brewers wear 1970 Brewers home uniforms. I wonder if anyone even thought of this?

Further on this, I’m curious if the Brewers downplay their Seattle heritage and instead play up the municipal connection to the Braves ?

I would be shocked if more than one in ten Brewers fans ever heard of the Pilots.
