12th title for Chestnut. Missed his own record of 74 but still knocked down 71 dogs in 10 minutes. Beyond belief.
Are they still doing this at Nathan’s ?
Yep. Over 100 years now. 70 dogs is like eating a full size adult bowling bowl.
How much is 70 hot dogs?
According to Nathan’s website, one of their hot dogs weighs 3.5 oz, and has 280 calories. That means 70 hot dogs weigh 15 pounds and have 19,600 calories.

It actually doesn't bother me. I know some people obsess about it to the point of paranoia but I don't care about company's tracking my internet usage and sending me relevant ads. It is still my decision as whether or not to buy. Also, if you don't want people to know, don't do it online. It still amazes me that people get busted for incriminating emails when they could have just picked up the phone.

I am speaking to where it leads...sure tracking what you buy today, 50 years from now, the kids of the kids of today will be having everything in their lives tracked, they are being desensitized to being tracked

That was the deal with Eric Snowden, he was trying to raise the alarm of the govt infringing on privacy, what the NSA is up to, and that was under the Obama administration, but nobody gives a shit, nobody cares that the govt is listening in because everybody is posting all their most private shit online anyway. I thought the irony of it was his girlfriend. The dancer, here he was telling people to value their privacy and she had a blog where she was discussing everything about herself. That is what i am getting at, the stuff people post on twitter, the line between public and private is being erased
BTW Donn, I can see from your reverse cam on the internet that you left a glass of water on your coffee table without a coaster. It's starting to sweat. You might want to get that.

50 years from now?... If global warming doesn't get us within 20 years, AI will destroy us within 30.

I’m proud to say I appear to be the only one in the park wearing a Greg Pirkl jersey.

Really, the Nathan's hotdogs that you buy at the store are 2 oz and 170 calories. So they are eating jumbo hotdogs at the competition?

The thing I would be worried about most is the preservatives. I wonder if the contestants try to vomit after the contest is over.

Somebody should open a shop called "Mediocre Mariners" and sell jerseys like that for players like Skip Jutze, Bud Bulling, Dick Pole, Paul Spoljaric, Johnny Moses, Joe Simpson, etc.

According to this package, the Nathan's competition hotdogs are 2 ouncers.

So, 70 hotdogs is just under 9 lbs. But what about all the buns?
