There's Franky Lindor seemingly having a bounce back.
And Wander Franco overcoming bad ball and strike calls at age 21. Younger than Julio.
True, Franco also really struggled for his first month and a half in the league. Floundered for around .600 OPS for 6 weeks before turning it on.

We're going to have to play sharp defense to beat Kansas City.
They are imho the small ball team of the league.
They are better than their record shows.
They split with Cleveland and just beat the Twins.
Look at Salvador Perez. He leads the team in runs scored, Home Runs, and RBIs.
"El Nino" at the age of 31 is still getting it done. I wish we had him.
They have alot wirey fast contact hitters....Benintendi, Mondesi, Merrifield.
Most of their wins so far have been in one run games. (Sound familiar?)
They are kind of built like us.
I've always said we have ballpark to mimic the Kansas City Royals model.
In other words, we might have guys out sick with COVID or whatever / not our best offense / but we can't be outhustled by these dudes!
Other than tonight vs. Keller....I think we have the edge in pitching which I hope gives us the edge and the series win at home.
I think our season depends once again on the kids....JK and Julio start hitting consistantly....and we can punch our ticket.

Yea cannot take them lightly, hoping they dont come out hitting us like they did in spring training. Hoping this team forgets last nights horrible loss. Gotta put that behind them, good teams can come back from games like those, Hoping they are good enough to do that.

I wouldn't have minded guy can play outfield. So with Kelenic and Julio struggling might be good

Mets are pretty unreal, their pitching, lost DeGrom and Walker and still doing that
starters are pitching to a major league-best 1.07 ERA. They're holding opponents to a paltry .158 batting average.
