I thought Richenpool was in Switzerland. Apparently it’s in the Oxford English Dictionary too, not just one of them strange words that you make up over there like “alphabetize” which definitely shouldn’t be a word.

Rhodes scholars rejoice as they come over the Pond to pollute the Oxford Dictionary with their backward ways and get them anagrams published.mostonmike wrote: ↑Thu Oct 13, 2022 9:00 pmI thought Richenpool was in Switzerland. I often wonder whether I should comply and remove the “u” from my posts that contain words like colour and flavour. I haven’t yet, I am stubbornly sticking to the Queen’s, sorry King’s versions

I have an Egyptian friend that lives in Vienna. As a scientist he has to write scientific medical research papers which are often published in English so I perform proof reading for him. I always give him a hard time for using the Monarch's English when I edit his papers. I tell him that there's the American way and the wrong way to English.mostonmike wrote: ↑Thu Oct 13, 2022 9:16 pmCascade Kid wrote: ↑Thu Oct 13, 2022 9:08 pmRhodes scholars rejoice as they come over the Pond to pollute the Oxford Dictionary with their backward ways and get them anagrams published.mostonmike wrote: ↑Thu Oct 13, 2022 9:00 pm

Crawford ($11M), Marco ($6.75M), Winker ($8.25M)
If they could offload those guys as salary dumps the savings pretty much pays for a good shortstop.

But who would take them. They’re on the chop because they suck.
I’m sure we would find takers if we offered up JRod.
But who’d come to Seattle (time to resurrect this discussion which happens annually).

We'd have to pay part of their contracts, so it won't pay for it.
Dansby, Trea, and Bogaerts each had over 6 WAR last season. They're going to get $32+ milllion AAV, not enough to pay for them. CC is the youngest of the four, he'll probably get a $300+ million dollar total contract.
