The thing that scares me is for every guy under performing there is a guy over performing.

For ever Wong, Teo, Murphy, Fest we have a guy over performing like Marco, France, Geno and does anyone think JK will hit .286 on the season? Gott and Spier also are likely over performing out of the pen. Once everything evens out with a larger sample it feels like we will be right about where we are now.

Just so little margin for error with another weak ass version of Jerry's offense any error be it physical or mental almost always will seem to cost us the game.
Playing .400 ball? That would put us at a 65 win pace.

I think JK vastly improves this year. but average probably goes down and the OBP and slugging probably goes up. We just got to see how it plays out. I mean Ray, Munoz, Moore on the mend is 3 key players out. If we get healthy sky is the limit. If Ray is CY Ray? If Wong goes all Winky-dink?

JK benched to protect him from Drew Smyley and his 11.57 ERA

I fancy Suarez for a HR tonight. He has hit a few at Wrigley. Might even be tempted to bet on 2 HR at 50/1. He’s definitely overdue.

The other J Rod just called up for the bullpen

I’m going with Ty for the hot bat and first home run

Gott has been used 2 consecutive nights previously (Apr 4 = 15P & Apr 5 = 13P) and didn't die as a result, so he might be used as well.

OK, so I agree with this in principle. But you could (and likely did) write this in January when the team's roster had more or less been set and all of the offseason dealing was done.

Did we really think that Wong was going to be better than Frazier? Did anyone think that? Murph - god bless him - had one blippy run in 2019 and since then he's been an oft-injured backup catcher. Teo has been a surprise, but maybe not. He can mash it, and we all knew he'd take a lot of swings and misses. But he just looks confused at the plate most of the time. I'd have taken a healthy Mitch over a healthy Teo at this point.

On the flip side, we may have expected a small, sophomore dip from JRod, but he's everything he's been advertised to be, and more. The paragon of consistent excellence. Geo can still swing it, and Ty can just flat out hit. But we knew all of this months ago.

Our starting rotation is amazing, but Robbie Ray looks like he flamed out after his Cy Young year with the Jays. That surprised me a little.

Overall, we are just one France/JRod/Geno injury away from mediocrity. If one or more of them gets injured for a couple of months, we're stuck with the flotsam and jetsam crowd who look as confused as goats on Astroturf. Meanwhile, Servias sits in the dugout with a shit-eating grin no matter how good or bad things look on the field. I'll give him this much - I'd hate to play poker against him.
For the love of Groundhog Day, Hanigar makes Paxton look like an Iron Man. Hanigar has been out with an oblique injury since Mid March....he is not even swinging off a tee yet. SF fans are like Hanigar will be back soon. LOL I have got $20 that says he won't be back before June.

Do you not realize that it has been cold as it is in the Northern part of the country? Most of our Latin players are freezing their asses off this time of year, so no they won't hit well. And even with all that, if JD had got us another bat, as anyone without his head shoved up his ass can plainly see we need, the M's would be in 1st place in the division.

I was told that the M' were the most profitable team in BB. This can't be right...

However, if true, they can afford a solid DH!
