I came across the article by accident, and frankly the topic depresses me too much to invest in making my own roster. But this guy's is a pretty good start.

What is worse is after that trade we traded Cruz Jr. for two more mediocre relievers. I think Cruz Jr. would have been good here.

That said, it has to be Adam Jones for Erin Bedard, doesn't it? That was so bad.

They dumped Cruz Jr, a first round pick, after 49 games as a rookie, hitting .268?

They needed pitching desperately. The pitching staff from 1990-1998 was Randy and 10 piles of dog shit.

Yeah I don't think that was a trade that was too bad M's made the playoffs that year and Cruz turned out to be just a guy. .247 career Average in the heart of the steroid era and a 102 OPS+
