Potential trade targets from potential sellers and their numbers since 6/1
Re: Potential trade targets from potential sellers and their numbers since 6/1
Our idiot fanbase would melt down. .204 BA and .638 OPS overall, almost down 200 points from his "Breakout" season.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2024 3:38 pmWouldn't bother me. JP stinks. He has a .607 OPS over his last 30 games.D-train wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2024 3:29 pmMariner discussion at 33:30. Trade JP Crawford???

Can anyone explain why podcasters are so lame when it comes to talking about the Mariners?D-train wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2024 3:29 pmMariner discussion at 33:30. Trade JP Crawford???

For the Phillies, Yankees, Dodgers... it's always "WHICH SUPER STAR ARE THEY GOING TO GET! OH YA LUIS ROBERT IS A FANTASTIC FIT!!!"
For the Mariners: "Well the Mariners might enjoy Lane Thomas, Michael Conforto, or even *gasp* Cody Bellinger and his $27.5 million player options despite his 105 OPS+."

How low have we gone when "he pulls the ball in the air" is the quality you're selling people on...D-train wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2024 4:01 pmCheck out this guys suggestion:Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2024 3:51 pmCan anyone explain why podcasters are so lame when it comes to talking about the Mariners?D-train wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2024 3:29 pmMariner discussion at 33:30. I swear man... Mariners fans r such loons. So broken.

Because they've been burned so often, everyone knows the moves the Mariners SHOULD be making but management trys so hard to do the unexpected.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2024 3:51 pmCan anyone explain why podcasters are so lame when it comes to talking about the Mariners?D-train wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2024 3:29 pmMariner discussion at 33:30. A great change would be for them to do something so unexpected and make the moves everyone knows they should make.

I'm sort of leaning towards the do nothing strategy. This year is so strange with offense down across the league, and especially with our own franchise player not hitting, it just seems like any major trade would be kind of pointless.

Doing nothing will almost certainly lead to the M's losing the West to the Astros.
If they do nothing now, what's stopping them from doing nothing in the off season or any trade deadline moving forward? They have to eventually do something.
They're in first place. Their pitching staff is at it's prime.
The time is now to go for it.

Yeah, I just think with Julio not being a franchise player that it really isn't going to matter that much.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2024 12:59 amDoing nothing will almost certainly lead to the M's losing the West to the Astros.
