Re: M's trade for Randy Arozarena
In 45 career at bats at T-mobile, he's batting 289 with 844 ops and 3 homeruns
Tiny sample, but I'll take it

lol it happens but he's not a 2B - that happens to every decent 2B we ever got with the exception of Cano. Figgins/Polanco/Frazier, etc.. most hitting around .300 but come here and tanked horribly.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 6:43 amYeah, one wonders if he's going to put on a Mariner uniform and voila, insta-suck.

So for now
1. 3B Rojas*
2. CF Robles
3. RF Randy A
4. C Cal**
5. LF Raley*
6. DH Garver
7. 2B Polanco**
8. 1B Vosler*/ Tyler L platoon
9. SS Leo Rivas**
Bench Moore, Haniger, Tyler, +1 of ( Bliss, Marlowe, etc)
You know Rookies are known to go on little hot streaks before the league finds their weaknesses. Vosler is a Journeyman who could provide some punch he had 20 HR in the minors. And a Tyler L.?
Something on Rivas: He is going to add a lot of speed vs JP. last year in 106 games in AA and Arkansas is not a good hitters environment 50/60 in SB. I doubt we have good sprint speed data on him yet but I am expecting something better than 28 FPS vs JP at like 26FPS. You know the M's infield defense has really good range right now. Rojas is 26.9 FPS, Moore is 27.9, Raley is at 29 FPS (1B) we don't have data on Rivas yet but I am betting he is in the same class as Ryan Bliss 28.6 FPS
The Out field once Julio comes back
Julio is top 10 in all of baseball 29.8 FPS
Raley is at 29 FPS (tied for 44th fastest in MLB)
Robles is at 28.2 FPS
Randy is at 28 FPS
Clase is at 29.6 FPS
Canzone 27.2
Haniger 26.3

Re: M's trade for Randy Arozarena
Just because we got a good new player, doesn't mean we have a smarter manager. Flip Randy and Cal so SS can have his marching lineup...left right left right.Pharmabro wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 7:53 amSo for now

Complain all you want about dipoto but he's built a pretty sound organization
Hopkins was ranked as Seattle’s No. 22 prospect, and MLB Pipeline shot him up the rankings to join Tampa Bay’s system at No. 6.

Major league hitting has been his only real problem.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 1:17 pmComplain all you want about dipoto but he's built a pretty sound organization

Unfortunately it's been a substantial one.

Sound start that leaves resources to get another dominant bat and set up arm. Nads check for Jerry
