How about this one...

Toro's BAbip:

Astros: .212 in 274 at-bats
Mariners: .424 in 40 at-bats
I would imagine it ends up around 0.300 but he does consistently put it in play hard
Yep it was a clear error in the 9th inning on Odor but it was smoked and that was a contributing fact. He gets no credit for but it probably was the difference in the game.

I was looking at the advanced stats and, oddly, while Toro's average exit velocity has remained virtually the same, his hard-hit ball rate (balls hit 95 mph or greater) has gone from 30.3% to 38.9%. And, even weirder, his GB to FB ratio has flipflopped from 1.38 with Houston this year to 0.63 with Seattle.

He is taking full advantage of the opportunity.... maybe all he needed was a nudge

The Mets have lost 7 out of 8, so you all think the Graveman trade has affected them or was it Javier bringing the Cub curse with him

I think Jay's got a point. It had to be exciting to go from fully blocked and withering in Houston to an every day, happy to have ya, shot at an every day role. Breathed some life into the kid.

Like somebody pointed out he will probably settle down, but he seems to be a capable bat to replace Seager for 1/30th the cost. Or, a pretty decent 2B bat, either way.

Not sure I'd swap Toro out for Jonathan Schoop who just got a pretty fair extension at $7.5M. That's a good sign at least

This has to qualify as the dumbest post I've ever read on any sport board anywhere, and that's saying something.

I don't know, i just have this bad feeling that his bat is going to cool down a lot. In 2020 he had a BAbip of .164 with an avg exit velocity and line drive % that were almost as high as what he's done with the Mariners. The main difference is that his gb/fb ratio was way higher in 2020 (2.67 compared to .65 with the M's).
